Das Rheingold Pre-performance Talks

Enhance your evening at the opera with a Das Rheingold pre-performance talk. It starts one hour before the show, and covers the stories, music, and history of opera. Admission is free to all ticket holders.

Post-show Talks

Following the mainstage performances, the post-show talks welcome the performers and creative team who talk about preparing for the production and other exciting topics. Unless otherwise noted, these talks are held in the theater immediately following the show.

Theme Nights at the Opera

For added fun, the opera hosts theme nights. They're held on select dates, and may include practicing your German language skills, enjoying small bites, and more. In addition, you can add a celebration package to your ticket purchase. It's perfect for birthdays or anniversaries, and includes a card signed by the cast and two glasses of wine or another equal purchase.

McCaw Hall Restaurant

When the opera performs at McCaw Hall, dine at the hall's full-service restaurant. It offers a limited menu created from the finest, freshest ingredients. Offerings include port-wine braised beef short ribs, pan-seared Netherland fresh steelhead, and crispy pork belly sauerbraten. Round out your meal with lobster bisque and a slice of cheesecake for dessert. Reservations are highly encouraged.

Opera 101

Discover more about opera during Opera 101. This six-part online class will dig deep into the Seattle Opera's audio and photo archives to help you learn about the famous composers whose classical works you will likely see on stage. The next session runs between November 7th and December 12th.
