She has sewn for over 30 years and has made nearly every mistake, including sewing things backward and inside out. Current adult classes include Machine Basics, Beginner Bootcamp, and Intro to Sewing: Zippered or Envelope Pillows. All levels are welcome, and the studio comes complete with sewing machines, cutting tables, and dress forms, so you get the most out of your sessions.

Before opening Sew Maris, Maris Olsen worked as a technical writer, software developer, and program manager. She learned to sew at a young age from her seamstress mother and now specializes in garment sewing. The private classes allow you to work at your own pace.
