Saint Edward State Park

While Redmond has some fine foot-hiking trails, its biking trails truly shine. Saint Edward State Park is up there with the finest. These trails may be too much for a beginner as the terrain can be challenging, so come prepared. For a seasoned cyclist, however, the puddles and the mud (on a wet day) offer thrills. For the best trails, check out the ones south of 141st. If you want a smoother ride, look to the area between Big Finn Hill and south of QFC. The trails are about 9 miles long and well worth every inch.

Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley in Snohomish County, just about 11 miles from downtown Redmond, has an almost jungle-like appearance. The 18-kilometer network of biking trails runs the gamut from the flat, the twisty, to the downright swoopy. While the Mainline trails are a breeze, the Red Adler or Cedar trails will require more skills.

Olallie Trails

Ollalie Trails, heading all the way to the summit of Mount Washington, offers a scenic riding experience. The ride is not overly exacting as the terrain, though steep in some sections, is a little gentler, and the trails are firmer. There are many stops along the way surrounded by some absolutely amazing views. The descent is particularly enjoyable with an incredible impression of trees speeding rapidly in the opposite direction. This trail racks up a 4.6-star rating from MTB Project.
