Juanita Beach Park

Juanita Beach Park has been a popular summer destination since the early 1900s. It welcomes visitors year-round and features interpretive signs highlighting the area's storied history. The park stretches nearly 22 acres and offers sand volleyball courts available for drop-in play. Juanita Beach is open daily between sunrise and 10:00 p.m.

Alki Beach Park

Popular any time of the year, Alki Beach Park welcomes everyone from runners to volleyball players. It offers fabulous views of the Olympic Mountains, and you can watch the sailboats and steamships on Puget Sound's waters. Alki Beach offers eight sand volleyball courts, one of which is free for drop-in play. Remember to bring your own net and ball.

Golden Gardens Park

Golden Gardens Park became a local fixture in 1907 after it opened at the end of a new electric car line. Today, it boasts two wetlands and plenty of activities for recreational fun. Two of the park's sand volleyball courts are open for drop-in play. When you aren't on the court, enjoy a scenic walk or cast a line from the fishing pier.

Doris Cooper Houghton Beach Park

Named after Kirkland's first female mayor, the Doris Cooper Houghton Beach Park features three unique public art pieces sure to look great on your Instagram page. You can take on your opponents on the sand volleyball court, enjoy boating fun, and watch for nature's feathery friends. The park opens daily at sunrise.
