Bellevue Arts Museum 

The Bellevue Arts Museum is one of the only museums that grew out of an art fair. It sits on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish peoples and is where the community can contemplate, appreciate, and discuss visual culture. The museum opened in a schoolhouse in 1975 and later moved to a former funeral home. Today, it's visually stunning building beckons visitors from the intersection of Bellevue Way NE and the NE 6th pedestrian corridor. There is always something new to see, and admission is free on the first Friday of every month. 

Seattle Art Museum 

The Seattle Art Museum is the Pacific Northwest's center for world-class visual arts. Established in 1933, the museum features light-filled galleries featuring nearly 25,0000 works. They date from antiquity to the present day and represent various global cultures and historical perspectives. The Native American gallery is a visitor favorite. It displays colorful paintings, canoe-shaped bowls, and twentieth-century totem poles. You can explore this and the other exhibits for free every month during the First Thursday event.

Frye Art Museum

Found in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood, the Frye Art Museum focuses on paintings from the nineteenth century. The museum opened the early 1950s as a legacy of Charles and Emma Frye. They were prominent art collectors and well-respected Seattle business leaders. The couple began collecting in the early 1900s and amassed 232 paintings. The museum has added to their collection, and admission is always free.
