History of the Redmond Saturday Market

Master Gardener Georgia Erskine founded the Redmond Saturday Market in 1976, fulfilling her dream to have an open-air market in her own neighborhood. Along with some friends, she leased land in downtown Redmond for just $1.00 per year! The market moved a few times until it found its current home, the Overlake Church parking lot at 9900 Willows Road, located just a few minutes from our apartments in Redmond. Today, the volunteer-run market is made up of over 100 members.

What to Expect

Redmond's market boasts more than 100 vendors including artists, farmers, and bakers who sell their goods every Saturday. As you meander through the tents, you'll find a wide array of goods, including gourmet French Toast, handmade acrylic paintings, jewelry, unique greeting cards, and of course organic produce! Plan Your Visit

The Redmond Saturday Market is open May 1st to October 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come hungry and enjoy a farm fresh lunch at the RSM food court. There are tables as well as a grass hill for seating. At this time, you can expect to wear a mask and abide by social distancing requirements. The market is less than ten minutes from our apartments in Redmond, WA.
