Gone are the days when libraries were just a place for books. Of course, the books are still there! But the Redmond Regional Library has plenty more to offer you. You won’t have to go far from our apartments in Redmond to explore this magical place.
If you're looking for something new and interesting to do, check out local museums. The library system is partnered with eight different museums, such as the Bellevue Arts Museum, Washington State History Museum in Tacoma, the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) in Seattle, and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in Seattle. With your King County Library System (KCLS) card, you can get free access for two people twice a month.
If you're looking for something beyond traditional books, the Redmond Regional Library supplies a wide selection of digital books. The library provides access to OverDrive and its catalog of eBooks, magazines, and audiobooks. You can also access Hoopla, which is filled with digital comics and graphic novels. You can also check out audiobooks on CD or digitally on OverDrive.
If you're looking for hundreds of indie films, documentaries, and more, Redmond Regional Library offers access to the Kanopy streaming service. Hoopla also gives you access to endless hours of movies, TV, and music.
Can't find what you're looking for? No problem! You can easily use the interlibrary loan system to search for specific resources in the county. It's easy to get a library card with KCLS that you can use at Redmond Regional Library or at other libraries throughout the King County system.
While it's good to get out, nothing beats a cozy afternoon reading or watching TV, courtesy of the Redmond Regional Library on a cold Washington day. Complete your relaxing day with a delicious home-cooked meal that you learned to prepare at a local cooking class.
