Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure?
If so, enjoy a Gourmet Seattle Food Tour. It offers upscale comfort food paired with Washington wine and cocktails.
The fun is an easy drive from our Redmond apartments, and tour stops include:
A pizzeria with a bread baker's soul, Serious Pie serves pizzas with blistered crusts. Chef Tony Catini earned a degree in Philosophy and Psychology, but with Italian parents, cooking was always in his DNA. He later attended Le Cordon Bleu, and today he enjoys sharing his heritage at Serious Pie. The pizzas bake at 600 degrees, and during the tour, you'll sample both the Margherita and roasted mushroom truffle varieties.
The Steelhead Diner is an unpretentious restaurant where the locals gather in the heart of Pike Place Market. Visitors enjoy stunning views of Elliott Bay and can watch the action in the open kitchen. The chefs prepare the dishes from scratch using the finest, freshest ingredients. They source from local growers, bread makers, and natural beef producers to support groups that practice sustainability. The tour offering includes the razor clam chowder with truffle oil and a Viognier pairing.
Found in the Army Building, Orfeo is a northwestern-centric wood-fired kitchen. It's named after a character in A Soldier of the Great War and offers a cozy setting with wood accents, dim lighting, and colorful works of art. In the kitchen, Chef Kevin Davis prepares land-based seasonally driven foods. He uses modern techniques and cooks over a charcoal-burning grill. For the tour, Chef Davis offers slow-roasted wild boar with grilled polenta and a Rose pairing.
